The Lantos Foundation for Human Rights & Justice was established in 2008 to carry on Congressman Tom Lantos' proud legacy as a leading advocate for human rights globally. While we no longer have Tom’s powerful voice speaking out on behalf of human rights, the Foundation seeks to make an impact by: advocating for the United States and other democratic nations to prioritize human rights and justice; raising awareness of human rights violations and challenges through our campaigns and initiatives; and supporting and empowering those on the frontlines of human rights struggles.
In 2023, the Foundation marks 15 years since its founding. We are pleased and grateful to reach this milestone and believe that the Foundation’s namesake would be proud of the impact we have had – and will continue to have – as we endeavor to carry on with his life’s work.
